Aloha RCHS Members,

As we continue to build momentum this Rotary year, I am continually inspired by the dedication within our club and across our local community. Partnering with local leaders and organizations who share our commitment to service is at the heart of what makes our club thrive.

I certainly missed seeing everyone last week as my job took me off island for a few days.  I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone this Thursday evening at the Waikiki Yacht Club as we welcome our guest speakers and learn more about the incredible hands-on work happening right here in Hawaii!

 SOCIAL CORNER — RECAP OF OUR FIRST SOCIAL EVENT

• Highlights: What a fantastic turnout for our very first social event of the '26–'27 Rotary year! We kicked things off in style around the backyard pool at Mike's hale with a wonderful potluck spread and a variety of drinks and spirits.

• Baby Shower Celebration: The special highlight of the evening was celebrating the upcoming new addition to Ota and Dana's family—congratulations to you both! 

• Made-to-Order Sushi: A massive mahalo to our very own celebrity sushi chef, Kazu, who delighted everyone with fresh, made-to-order hand rolls!

 LAST WEEK'S MEETING RECAP — AUGUST 6TH

• Guest Speaker: Jue Jue Min

• Highlights: Last Thursday, our very own member Jue Jue Min gave a fascinating presentation detailing the recent mental health seminar she facilitated in Thailand. It was an inspiring look into international community support and mental health outreach, and we are so honored and proud to have Jue Jue as one of our very own RCHS members!
